This Privacy Policy explains how codebeautify.org.in (“we”, “us”, “our”), available at https://codebeautify.org.in/, collects, uses and protects information when you use our website. By using the website you agree to this policy.

1. Data you enter into our tools

Our tools process your text, code, images and other files locally in your web browser using JavaScript. This content is not uploaded to, stored on or seen by our servers. Closing or refreshing the page removes it. Some tools may remember small preferences, such as dark mode, in your browser’s local storage on your own device.

2. Information we collect

  • Log data. Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records standard information such as IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, pages visited and the date and time of the visit. This is used for security, troubleshooting and aggregate statistics.
  • Contact information. If you email us or use our contact form, we receive your name, email address and message. We use it only to reply to you.

We do not ask for or knowingly collect sensitive personal data, and we do not sell personal information.

6. Data retention

Server logs are kept for a limited period, normally no longer than 90 days, unless needed for security investigations. Emails are kept as long as needed to handle your request.

The website is served over HTTPS. Because tool data is processed on your device, it is never transmitted to us. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, the EU and UK GDPR, and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). These may include the right to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, to withdraw consent, and to object to certain processing. 9. Children’s privacy

The website is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Third party links

Our pages may link to other websites. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those websites.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it was last changed.
